On April 18, 2017, Co-Founder of Fisher Wallace Laboratories Kelly Roman was on stage discussing the treatment of bipolar disorder and virtual reality therapy. The event was the Axios’ Future Shapers event called “New Cures, New Innovations for a New Era in Mental Health Care”, and was held in Chicago.
Other speakers included Facebook’s Head of Global Safety Policy, Antigone Davis, who talked about the recent tragedy as well as how friends use Facebook to provide emotional support in times of crisis.
Many psychiatrists who prescribe the Fisher Wallace Stimulator do so in conjunction with antidepressant medication, so it felt appropriate that the event was sponsored by America’s Biopharmaceutical Companies. However, for those patients who have not responded well to medication, or who wish to use a non-drug therapy option, the Fisher Wallace Stimulator remains a great tool for the standalone treatment of depression, anxiety and insomnia.
